Why homeowners trust jolly?

We Return to Fine-Tune Your System

1-2 weeks after installation, we come back for a detailed QA visit. We check performance, adjust settings for maximum comfort, and answer any questions - before problems can start. You don't pay the final bill until we confirm everything is running perfectly.

BC's Longest Labour Warranty

Enjoy 12 years of zero-labour repair bills. Simply maintain your system with our annual service visit, and every covered repair is on us - no hidden fees, no surprises. Most contractors offer 1-3 years. We stand behind our work for 12.

Pre-Install planning Before We Start

Before we touch a single tool, we walk through your home to confirm sizing, equipment placement, line routing, and electrical needs. This eliminates surprises, hidden costs, and last-minute changes on installation day.

We Handle Your Rebate Paperwork

Navigating CleanBC and FortisBC rebates can be confusing. We guide you through eligibility, handle the application process, and for pure heat pump installs, we deduct rebates directly from your invoice - lower upfront cost, less hassle for you.

We Install Premium Brands You Can Trust

We work with industry-leading brands like York, Hitachi, Rinnai, and Midea - not off-brand equipment that's cheap today but expensive to repair tomorrow. We'll recommend the best system for your home and budget, with honest pros and cons of each option.

Ready to experience the Jolly difference? Let's start with a free, no-pressure Assessment of your home.

Our proven4-step installation process

Free in-home assessment

Every home is different, so we start with a free assessment of your space, heating and cooling needs, budget, and rebate eligibility. We'll explain your options, answer questions, and provide a transparent quote - no pressure, just expert guidance tailored to your home and budget.

2

Pre-install planning & Sizing

Once you approve the quote, we schedule a pre-install walkthrough to perform professional heat load calculations, confirm equipment sizing, and finalize the installation plan. This ensures your new system is properly sized for efficiency, comfort, and long-term reliability - not oversized or underpowered.

3

professional installation

Our licensed, insured team arrives on time, works cleanly, and installs your system with precision - no shortcuts, no guesswork. We coordinate permits and inspections, protect your home with drop cloths, and keep you updated every step of the way. Your new heating or cooling system works perfectly from day one.

4

post-install quality inspection

After installation, most contractors disappear - we don't. Before your final payment, we return 1-2 weeks later for a comprehensive comfort and quality assurance inspection. We fine-tune performance, check airflow and refrigerant levels, adjust thermostat settings, and ensure every room feels just right. This isn't a basic city or TSBC safety check - it's our own detailed quality review to guarantee your system meets our standards and yours.

this process is why our customers experience fewer callbacks, better comfort, and long-term peace of mind.

Frequently asked questions

Thinking about a new heating system, air conditioning, or hot water upgrade? We've answered the most common questions homeowners ask about HVAC installations, rebates, pricing, and our process. Don't see your question? Give us a call at 778-800-8868 or book your free quote below.

How much rebate do I qualify for?

Every home is different, and there are multiple rebate programs available depending on your existing heating system, household income, and the type of installation. Currently, the highest rebate available is up to $21,000 for a qualifying heat pump system plus electrical service upgrade through CleanBC Better Homes.

Do you offer same-day service?

Yes. We know emergencies happen - whether it's a failed furnace in winter or a leaking hot water tank. We offer same-day or next-day service for urgent heating and hot water installations to get your home comfortable again fast.

How do I schedule a free quote?

You can book your free quote here or call us directly at 778-800-8868. We'll schedule an in-home assessment at a time that works for you - no pressure, just honest guidance and transparent pricing.

Are heat pumps suitable for Metro Vancouver's climate?

Absolutely. Modern cold-climate heat pumps work efficiently in Metro Vancouver's mild winters. Systems like the York HH8 and Midea Evox are rated to perform down to -25°C, well below our typical winter lows. Heat pumps provide year-round heating and cooling, making them ideal for winters in Metro Vancouver.

For extra peace of mind during cold snaps, we also offer dual-fuel systems that combine a heat pump with a gas furnace for backup.

What's the lifespan of a furnace?

A properly maintained high-efficiency furnace typically lasts 15-20 years. However, older furnaces (especially those 20+ years old) become less efficient and more prone to breakdowns. If your furnace is approaching or past 15 years, it's worth getting a free assessment to see if replacement makes sense - especially with current rebate programs available.

My hot water tank is leaking - what should I do?

Turn off the water supply immediately (look for a valve on the cold water line entering the tank) and call us at 778-800-8868 for same-day emergency service. Leaking tanks can cause water damage quickly, so don't wait.

We offer fast replacements for gas and electric hot water tanks, and we can also discuss upgrading to a tankless water heater for endless hot water and better efficiency.

What's included in your pricing?

Our transparent pricing includes:

• All equipment, materials, and venting

• Professional installation labour

• Required permits and inspections

• Standard electrical connection*

• 3-year labour warranty (extendable to 12 years)

• Post-install quality assurance visit

*Electrical service upgrades (if required for heat pumps) are quoted separately. We provide one clear price upfront - no surprise charges on installation day.

How long does a typical installation take?

Furnaces, single-zone ductless mini splits, and tankless water heaters are completed in one day. Boilers, heat pumps, and dual fuel systems are typically completed in two to three days depending on the complexity of the system. Multi-zone ductless mini splits are typically completed one day per zone. We'll give you an exact timeline during your free quote.

Hot water tank replacements are typically done the same day, often within a few hours.

Do you help with rebate applications?

Yes. We guide you through the entire rebate process for CleanBC Better Homes and FortisBC programs. For pure heat pump installations, we deduct rebates directly from your invoice - so you pay less upfront instead of waiting months for reimbursement.

We'll help you confirm eligibility, submit applications, and navigate any paperwork required.

What brands do you install?

We install reliable brands with varying budgets, from entry level to top-of-the-line, including:

York (high-efficiency furnaces, dual fuel systems, and heat pumps)

Hitachi (premium ductless mini splits and heat pumps)

Midea (excellent value, industry-leading efficiency)

Rinnai (the best tankless water heaters and boilers you can get)

Daikin & Mitsubishi (when specified or required)

We'll recommend the best brand and model for your home, budget, and comfort goals - with honest pros and cons of each option.

Do you service systems you didn't install?

Currently, we focus on servicing and maintaining systems we've installed to ensure the highest quality and warranty support. If you need service for an existing system, please give us a call and we'll do our best to help or refer you to a trusted partner.

What's the difference between a heat pump and a furnace?

A furnace burns natural gas to generate heat and only provides heating. A heat pump transfers heat from the outside air (even in winter) and provides both heating and cooling. Heat pumps are highly efficient and eligible for rebates, but may need backup heating during extreme cold.

For Metro Vancouver, many homeowners choose a dual-fuel systems - a heat pump for mild weather and a gas furnace for cold snaps - offering the best of both worlds.

Can I finance my installation?

Yes, we offer flexible payment plans through FinanceIt to fit your budget. Ask your Home Comfort Advisor for financing options during your free quote.

How often should I maintain my HVAC system?

We recommend annual maintenance for all heating and cooling systems. Regular tune-ups extend equipment lifespan, improve efficiency, catch small issues before they become expensive repairs, and keeps your warranties active.

What makes Jolly different from other HVAC companies?

We're not the cheapest upfront - but our goal is the lowest long-term cost of ownership and the most reliable systems. We achieve that through proper planning, professional installation, correct equipment choice, and a detailed quality check 1-2 weeks after the install. Here's why homeowners trust us:

- Post install QA visit 1-2 weeks after installation to fine-tune performance.

- Pre-install walkthrough to eliminate surprises and ensure proper sizing.

- BC's longest labour warranty (extendable to 12 years).

- BBB A+ rating (third-party verified reputation).

- Transparent pricing with no hidden fees.

- Rebate guidance and application support.

We stand behind our work long after installation day, so you save money over the life of your system - not just at checkout.

Do I need to upgrade my electrical panel for a heat pump?

Usually not. It depends on your current panel capacity and the size of the heat pump. We'll assess your electrical setup during the free quote and let you know if an upgrade is needed (which may also qualify for additional rebates).

What's a dual-fuel system?

A dual-fuel system combines a heat pump (for efficient heating in mild weather) with a gas furnace (for backup during cold snaps). It provides year-round comfort, maximizes efficiency, and provides the lowest utility cost.

How much does a heat pump installation cost?

Central heat pump installations start at $13,650 + GST before rebates. Depending on how much rebate you qualify for (Up to $16,000 on heat pumps and up to $5,000 on electrical service upgrades), your out-of-pocket cost may be significantly lower. Every home is different - book a free quote for accurate pricing.

Can I keep my existing furnace and add a heat pump?

Yes, if you already have a high-efficiency furnace installed, we can do a heat pump add-on to turn it into a dual-fuel system. The heat pump handles most of your heating needs (and all cooling), while your furnace kicks in during the coldest days. It's a smart way to upgrade without removing (and wasting) a working furnace.

What happens if my system breaks down after installation?

All our installations* include a 3-year labour warranty standard, extendable to 12 years. If something goes wrong, just call us and we'll fix it at no charge for labour. Equipment parts are covered separately under manufacturer warranties which we will also handle.**

What does that mean? If your system breaks down 9 years after installation and you have our 12 year labour warranty coverage, you pay $0 to get it repaired. We cover the labour, and the manufacturer covers the parts.

*Hot water tanks include 1-year labour warranty. **All warranties require annual maintenance by Jolly Heating & Cooling to keep valid.
